How to resolve BlackBerry Contact Sync Issues

Problem Description: Outlook Contacts not Sync in blackberry

Resolution Steps:

  • Press the menu button (left of track Pad) and go to Options. 
  • If you do not see wireless sync under Contacts Options then click Desktop under Contact Lists.  Wireless Sync is under Desktop. 
  • Check wireless sync and make sure it is changed to yes.  If it is set to no please change it to yes press the menu key to the left of the track pad and save the change. 
  • If it is already set to yes please change it to no press the menu key left of the track pad and save the change.  (wait 5 minutes before proceeding to option 6)
  • Change back to yes press the menu key left of the track pad and save that change; wait a few minutes and see if slow address sync starts.  If it does not please see below for further instructions. 
  • If you do not see wireless sync under Options, or Options\Desktop, or it is not synching when set to yes on the main screen of the BlackBerry.
  • Go to Options\Device\Advanced System Settings\Service Book. 
  • Highlight Desktop [SYNC] press the menu button (left of track pad) and delete it. 
  • Wait a few seconds and press the menu button (Left of the track pad) and do undelete.  (Scroll back through the Service Books to make sure Desktop Sync has been undeleted) 
  • Go back to your address book press the menu button (left of track pad) and go to options and check to see if wireless sync is available and set to yes if not change it to yes.
